First Post Wales
An awards ceremony was held for the First Post Wales trainees at Gilby's in Cardiff Bay, where the graduates were presented with certificates by Iona Jones, S4C. Feedback from the trainees was extremely positive, and employers reported that training had proven to be very valuable and relevant when applied in the workplace.
First Post Wales was delivered by Barcud Derwen, the UK's largest television facilities company outside London, in partnership with SoHo Editors.
Bafta Cymru 2008
Skillset Cymru and Cyfle were again this year the proud sponsors of the prestigious Best Newcomer award at BAFTA Cymru 2008, which was presented to scriptwriter Al Wilson (Summer Scars).
Along with the award, Al also received £1,000 towards training to further his development in this exciting field.
