Skillset Academi+ - Film Junction
Ten Welsh producers and production companies have been chosen to participate in the ambitious programme of workshops entitled Film Junction, co-ordinated by Film Agency Wales and funded by Skillset Academi+. This Producer Development Programme is designed to address management and leadership issues, and will specifically focus on Creative Management, Business Planning and Reaching the Audience. It will be supported by a high-level Mentoring Scheme, giving participants' access to top decision makers and company directors at successful film and media companies.

Breaking into Television at Hay Festival 2010
A one hundred and thirty strong audience of media-hopefuls piled into a warm tent on a May evening for an hour's session with some of the brightest members of TV, interactive and games community in the UK. The free session: "Breaking into Television", was presented by the Royal Television Society Wales and Skillset to offer an insight into media for those who are considering a career in the fastest growing industry in the UK.
Chaired by Adam Boulton, the session offered personal insights from presenter Frances Donovan, the Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Adam Gee, Saint John Walker, Skillset's Computer Games, Animation and Facilities Sector Manager, and the BBC's John Denton, Managing Editor of TV Platforms. They were joined last minute by Euros Lyn who has directed Doctor Who and Casualty as well as short films and features.
