UEA ranked top for Film Studies

The University of East Anglia (UEA) offers the best film studies courses in the UK, according to a report. The Times Good University Guide ranked institutions according to teaching, research, A-level grades of entrants and the jobs graduates obtained. Norwich-based UEA was one of the first universities to develop courses in film and television studies, and runs a successful MA in Screenwriting course, from the Norwich campus.

Media Education Association

Colleagues in the South East attended a meeting on Media Learning 14 - 19. They have told us that plans towards a professional association for teachers of media across all sectors are now under way.

At the moment people are being asked to express an interest in joining such an association by visiting Media Education Association.

In the New Year further research will be undertaken and potential members will be consulted in more detail about what they would like the association to provide. It is hoped that a conference will be organised in the summer term to take the organisation further. In the first instance, people are being asked to please register your interest by completing the onscreen form (it will take 3 minutes).

Also, please forward this link to any colleagues and networks to which you belong so that as many people as possible can be involved in this very important initiative.

If you have further questions please contact Jenny Grahame.
