
EM NCN provision
New College Nottingham (ncn) is one of the largest Further Education colleges in the UK, with a wide range of full and part-time study programmes. Its recent OFSTED report confirmed ncn’s position as the best general FE college in the Nottingham area. Students benefit from its excellent relationships with local universities and extensive links with local employers.
At ncn City (Adams), Media and Multimedia students have access to a three camera television studio, a radio station, multimedia computing areas, and both digital and analogue video editing suites. Training in professional broadcasting software such as Selector is available and there are well established links with several broadcasters. The college has recently invested in new video production equipment with digital non-linear editing suites using a range of software including Avid Xpress, Discreet Combustion and Adobe After Effects.
Music students have access to purpose-built facilities in the ncn Arts Centre at ncn Clarendon. They have use of the recital room, a range of individual and group practice rooms, recording studios and two music technology suites with 55 computers. A third hi-tech recording studio provides top of the range facilities.
