The MUSIC, MEDIA AND PERFORMING ARTS section is based at Hinckley College where learners have access to all the specialist equipment they need, including recording studios, music technology suites, and rehearsal facilities.
Full-time courses currently offered are:
BTEC First Diploma in Performance Arts, Popular Music, Media, Dance and Production
Designed as an introduction to acting, pop music, media or dance for those who wish to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
BTEC National Diploma in Music Practice
This programme provides a broad and thorough approach to the world of contemporary pop music.
BTEC National Diploma in E-Media
E-Media aims to provide a more relevant course for students who want a career in the following: Animation (Claymation, Model Animation or 3D); Video Game Design; Web Design/Authoring; Graphic Design/Visual Communications.
BTEC National Diploma in Media Production
The programme aims to develop individual students practical, creative and professional skills in an industrial training environment.
HND Media Production
This programme is aimed at those looking to go into the media industry or to build on their existing knowledge. Areas covered include: Video and Audio Production, Animation, Live Projects and Film-making and Advanced Film Studies.

BTEC National Certificate in Games Development
This course will teach students all the necessary skills required to develop computer games. The Computer Learning Centre offers the latest hardware and software.
EDEXCEL National Diploma in Graphic Design
An established, well regarded and exciting graphic design programme.
Cert Dip HE Visual Arts (by negotiated study)
This programme is specifically designed to meet the needs of students who wish to continue their development into Higher Education within a local context and is offered on a full-time and part-time basis.
Higher National Diploma in Visual Communication
This is an innovative course offering negotiated study pathways in illustration, multi-media, graphics and photography (digital and traditional). This course is offered on a full-time and part-time basis.
