The School of the Arts was ranked sixth for teaching excellence in Art and Design in the 2004 Times Good University guide. It has a 12,000 strong poster collection, which includes the Osborne Robinson Collection of 2,000 posters from the 1890's-1970's by key figures in 20th Century art and poster design.
