Case Study: Tyneside Cinema

Tyneside Cinema offer regular courses and events for people who want to learn more about film, filmmaking and the moving image. They also develop film-related projects and events in partnership with a range of organisations throughout the north east region.

Available courses include:
Courses for adults including accredited and non accredited film appreciation and practical courses, such as Screenwriting, documentary filmmaking and digital photography and imaging.
Kids clubs such as flash animation and podcasting during school holidays.  
Study days for media and film studies students, which are directly linked to the As and A2 level syllabus.  
A variety of moving image media outreach projects with schools and community groups.   

In 2007, in conjunction with the redevelopment of their building, they will be delivering an exciting new Education programme, including a project for KS2 students, a digital stories project with older people and an oral history / filmmaking project with older people and college students.
