Training Funds for Freelancers
With the support of Skillset's TV Freelance Fund, North West Vision and Media is offering North West based Freelancers 70% off the cost of training. North West Vision and Media's bespoke scheme is tailored to individual needs and can also support travel and accommodation costs for attending training.
Freelancers who have already benefited from the scheme have attended a whole variety of training including DV Camera, Stedicam, Final Cut Pro, Avid, writing for television and Pro Tools to name but a few.

Merseyside Film and Television Fund
The Merseyside Film and Television Fund (MFTVF) is available to new and established local businesses, companies locating into Merseyside and joint ventures between £25,000 and £250,000 for a whole range of activities including company development, project development and production investment. The Regional Attraction Fund (RAF) is a major initiative to attract high-growth independent producers to England's Northwest and to help grow existing production and facilities companies in the region. Skillset has now launched its second scheme aimed at helping Indies grow their businesses. We have devised a regional factsheet as a point of information support for Independent Production Companies as well as freelancers and individuals based in the North West.
