The Industry
The creative media industries in Scotland make a significant contribution, both economically and culturally to our nation. Around 8000 people are employed in the sector, in all sorts of occupations. In addition to the three main broadcasters; BBC Scotland, Scottish Media Group and Channel 4, there is a thriving independent production scene both in film and broadcast. There is also a significant facilities provision and an internationally-acclaimed cluster of computer games developers.
