Sector Skills Agreement for Scotland
The Skillset Scotland National Board is responsible for guiding and supporting the work Skillset does in Scotland.
The board gives Scotland's leading employers, trade unions, further and higher education and public agencies a say in how we work. Their advice helps us design ways to build the skills of the 37,000 people working in Scotland's creative media industries.
A main objective was the development of a Sector Skills Agreement (SSA) for the industry, Scottish Parliament, The Scottish Government and other relevant public agencies and organisations to ensure that Scottish employers have the skills they need, when they need them.

The SSA helps us decide what needs to be done for an agreed period of time; around 3 years. Our research work continues, so that by the end of the next three years we can create a new agreement, tailored to the new challenges facing the industries.
Skillset Scotland then works with employees, employers, colleges, universities and trainers to combat the challenges that face people's businesses, career choices and training.
