Training Bursaries

Training Bursaries are money grants for freelancers based in Scotland to spend on training.

     Please note that the deadline for Training Bursaries' applications has changed to:

     31 January 2009

You could get up to a maximum of £1,000 to spend on training that will benefit your career in Scotland's screen industries (film, TV, animation, computer games and interactive media). Some qualifications may also be supported.

You can apply for these training grants, if you:

  • are a resident in Scotland;
  • have applied for a structured training course and have been accepted by the  training provider;
  • have checked with the recognised training provider that the course is not receiving another form of public subsidy;
  • can demonstrate professional experience in the film, TV, animation, computer games or interactive media industries; and
  • can demonstrate how the training you are applying for will benefit your career.

Please refer to the Training Bursaries Guidelines on the How to apply page, for full details. Remember that for your application to be successful, we need to receive the application form at least 5 days before the training course is due to start

Once you have identified the course you want to do, you can apply at any time until the end of January 2009.

Do you want to benefit from this fantastic development opportunity? Follow this link and apply now.
