Come to the launch of the Digital Film Archive Fund
Venue: Sallis Benney Theatre, University of Brighton
Date: Wednesday 26 November 2008
Time: 2pm-5pm
Are you an organisation or individual interested in working with archive film? Or do you have a collection of archive film?
If so, Screen South would like to welcome you to their information day for the launch of the new Digital Film Archive Fund (DFAF).
The DFAF is a £300,000 fund from the UK Film Council aimed at:
- Delivering wide spread public access to screen heritage;
- Creating wide spread public value from access to screen heritage and evidence supporting it.
The event will be hosted by Screen Archive South East and led by Screen South CEO Jo Nolan. Other speakers will include: Dee Davison, Partnership Development Manager at the UK Film Council; and Frank Gray, Director of Screen Archive South East. There will be a presentation from the organiser of one of the Hidden Treasures Archive events which took place last September, with support from the Digital Film Archive Fund.
You need to register to attend this free event. To do so, please submit 25 words or fewer about your project/ideas, along with contact details to info@screensouth.org.
Screen South and Screen Archive South East will also be offering an opportunity for one-to-one sessions at the DFAF Surgery in Brighton on Wednesday 10 December. To book a one-to-one at the surgery, or informally in December and January with Alison Dilnutt, please contact alison.dilnutt@screensouth.org.
We encourage people in the region who are looking to apply for funding to attend an information day and arrange a one-to-one.
This event is brought to you by Screen South in partnership with Cinecity Film Festival and the Archive Awareness Campaign, and hosted by Screen Archive South East.
