Train to Gain in the South East
Nearly 30,000 businesses in South East England have benefited from Train to Gain. But many creative media employers are yet to benefit as they still think that Train to Gain only caters for basic skills.
However, Train to Gain support and subsidies are also available for higher level qualifications, thanks to a three year agreement between Government and creative media industry employers.
And in South East England, a Train to Gain pilot is providing additional support for employers. For a six month period, until the end of March 2009, companies will be able to access the services of an industry specialist who will provide technical advice and support on skills training - tailored to the creative media industries. The pilot is being delivered in partnership with Wessex Media Group who will work with the brokerage service for the region, Skills South East.
