From September 2005, most of our visual arts students will be based at out £17.5million campus called WISE, (the West of England Institute of Specialist Education). Students benefit from the latest resources in visual and creative arts.
Students have access to a base room for their course, as well as well-equipped workshops, including a state of the art Apple Macintosh suit and multi media studios.
Photography and Media facilities are amongst the best in the region, and are used by
Well-qualified staff to deliver a range of programmes appropriate at all qualification levels.
Most staff are practitioners with current experience in appropriate industry, and a range of external contacts, which enrich the student experience and provide vocational currency to the courses. For instance, Media students are routinely successful in the annual BBC Bristol student film awards - winning a coveted work placement at the BBC, and photography students participate in national competitions - David Yeo winning the Deloitte award for the best portrait photograph taken by a photographer aged 25 or under.
