Henley College Coventry has two Centres for Vocational Excellence and offers a wide range of Media and Multimedia courses.

A darkroom capable of working with 35mm film up to 8x10 large format.

Media and Multimedia

Within this department students studying at Level 2 or studying for a BTEC National Diploma (Level 3) have the opportunity to undertake work experience in media organisations - radio, newspaper, TV etc. Students also organise exhibitions of their own work at locations throughout the city and go on various trips and educational visits. Trips may include Tate Modern and overseas trips to Paris, Madrid, Berlin and Prague.

Media Higher National Diploma

This course allows students to study across a range of media disciplines. The key areas of focus are audio, moving image and journalism with options to build additional skills in web authoring, print production and photography.

Moving Image Higher National Diploma

This course offers a specialised route for students wishing to work in TV and film production industries. The first year concentrates on the skills and techniques of factual and documentary programme making. In year 2 fictional production will be emphasised. Gaining 'real world' experience through commissioned briefs and visiting and entering into film festivals is a key feature of the course.

Moving Image Foundation Degree

This course allows students to build skills and understanding across a broad range of moving image production.

Multimedia Foundation Degree

This course allows students to build skills and understanding across a broad range of multimedia practice.

Photography Foundation Degree

This course allows students to build skills and understanding across a broad range of photographic practice.

Computing and Information Technology

Computing - Digital Application (DIDA) Diploma Level 1

This is a new paperless course, which is completed online on the computer and is designed to give students real skills in modern computer and digital applications.

Students on the BTEC National Certificate and BTEC National Diploma courses enjoy a range of course-related trips to galleries, locally, nationally and internationally, that exhibit contemporary and historical art work. Residential trips are also organised, including Paris and London.
