University of Worcester

University of Worcester

The University of Worcester is the only University in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and has an excellent record in graduate employment. The University promotes lifelong learning and many students are mature students studying for professional/postgraduate qualifications.

Strong links with firms and organisations in the business, creative, education and health communities in the surrounding areas, complement the vocational courses.

The University offers a blend of subjects that provide opportunities for both academic text-based study and practical studio-based work.

The new Digital Arts Centre on the main campus provides a variety of Digital Media courses and offers facilities for the community and industry. The Centre houses a range of media equipment from multimedia computers, scanners and printers to sound and video recording editing equipment in specialist studios. There is also a large digitally enhanced performance/video recording space with lighting rigs, blue screen technology and a full commercial-level recording studio.

University of Worcester
Single Honours courses specialise in one discipline. Students can also take advantage of a wide range of modules. All undergraduate students at Worcester study two subject areas in their first year and there are plenty of course choices that complement each other. Art and Design and Creative Digital Media courses can both be studied as 'double' first year subjects, allowing students to take solely Art or Creative Digital Media modules if they wish.
