City & Guilds 7500 Diploma in Media (Television and Video) Level 3 - one year full-time - this course is primarily aimed at students who want to work in electronic videotape production in the media or communications industries, or progress to advanced study at university.
Pre-Entry Certificate in Journalism - one year full-time - The Certificate in Newspaper Journalism is a nationally recognised course, which can lead directly to employment as a trainee journalist with national or provincial newspapers
Art & Design
Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design) - one year full-time or two years part-time
HND in Graphic Design - This course aims to prepare students for a career in Graphic Design or to enable progression to degree level study. Students who wish to progress to the University of Central England in Birmingham (UCE) gain automatic entry onto the second year of a related degree programme. This course is provided under a franchise from UCE and students at Sutton Coldfield College are also students of the University with all the benefits and opportunities that this brings.
