How we made Train to Gain work in the West Midlands
Skillset teamed up with Train to Gain to provide a free and impartial skills analysis for creative media businesses, based on a real understanding of the sector.
Together with a Skills Broker from the West Midlands Brokerage Service, we also advised companies on high quality, flexible training to suit their needs and help them access funding.
The issues we came across have been included in a report which will contribute to the future development of Train to Gain across the UK and highlights the needs of our sectors' companies. For example, we support a great number of micro companies, sole traders and freelancers who need flexible, short provision of training that can be taken up alongside an often erratic and heavy workload.
