Close links have also been established with the Royal Television Society Yorkshire Centre which regularly hosts careers evenings, student awards events and industry-focused talks. The Public Relations course is accredited by the Institute of Public Relationbs, while Sports Journalism has flourished with the recent announcement of a research grant to undertake an oral history project on the development of Rugby League.
