East Coast Media, part of the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education, is recognised by the media industry and exam bodies as a centre providing a wide range of high quality professional media training and education. It offers post-16 Further and Higher Education courses, schools provision from 14 years upwards, evening courses and training for post-graduates and professionals. 

With over £4 million of investment, East Coast Media is equipped with state-of-the-art resources, giving all students access to a wide variety of production equipment on a daily basis, ensuring they become familiar with industry practices. East Coast Media is a member of ITV's Yorkshire Media Education Partnership (YMEP), enabling students to benefit from work experience with the television company. In addition, through East Coast Media's unique working partnership with BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, students have the opportunity to work as video journalists or camera operators on the BBC Look North throughout the year. East Coast Media also owns and runs its own television station, Channel 7, which broadcasts from Immage Studios in Immingham to over 100,000 homes in Northern Lincolnshire, allowing students to valuable gain work experience. This is also the home of the new Sky Digital station, Propeller.  

East Coast Media has been awarded Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) status in recognition of the close links it has forged with employers, schools, business partners and other training providers. In addition, it has been awarded 'outstanding' Grade 1 status by Ofsted.
